Samenvatting

Prikaccidenten vormen een reëel risico voor een aanmerkelijk deel van de beroepsbevolking, zowel in de gezondheidszorg als daarbuiten. 1 Daarnaast veroorzaken ze veel angst en onzekerheid voor de verwonde.Van belang is dat snel na een accident een inschatting wordt gemaakt van de ernst van het risico, en de verwonde wordt gerustgesteld.
