Abstract
Bij parodontologische, implantologische en kaakchirurgische behandelingen is het vaak geïndiceerd om botdefecten te herstellen. Het adagium dat daarvoor altijd autoloog bot moet worden gebruikt, staat ter discussie. Syntheti sche vulmaterialen voor botdefecten worden voor een aantal indicaties als een adequaat alternatief beschouwd.
