Samenvatting

Met de intrede van de operatiemicroscoop in de endodontie zijn zowel chirurgische als niet-chirurgische behandelmethoden drastisch veranderd. De huidige niet-chirurgische endodontische herbehandeling is door bijvoorbeeld het gebruik van speciale ultrasone apparatuur amper meer te vergelijken met die van pakweg tien jaar geleden. Voor de chirurgische endodontie zijn de verschillen minstens net zo groot.
