Samenvatting

In de implantologie wordt de behandelaar regelmatig geconfronteerd met situaties waarbij de verwijzer verzoekt één of meer implantaten te plaatsen die als basis moeten dienen voor solitaire of multipele tandvervangingen. Het is eerder regel dan uitzondering dat het oorspronkelijke element dan al lang geleden verwijderd is. De processus alveolaris is dan vaak smal tot zeer smal.
