Samenvatting

Bij veel tandletsels raakt het worteloppervlak beschadigd. Die beschadiging is bij avulsies en intrusies omvangrijk, maar ook bij milder trauma kunnen wortelcement en parodontaal ligament zodanig getroffen worden dat dit tot wortelresorptie leidt. In deze bijdrage wordt het ontstaan van externe ontstekingsresorptie besproken en wordt de behandeling ervan aan de hand van een praktijkgeval getoond.
