Samenvatting

Begin 1966 komt een 17-jarige patiënte in de praktijk bij mijn voorganger*. Er is bij de patiënte sprake van, zeker voor haar leeftijd, ernstige parodontale problemen: gegeneraliseerde, actieve chronische gingivitis en lokaal gevorderde parodontitis. De gingiva is hypertrofisch en oedemateus gezwollen en bij de 15, 16, 25, 26, 35 en 36 zijn pockets met deels angulaire botdefecten te sonderen - de defecten zijn op de röntgenfoto's waarneembaar.
