Robert Meijburg over ACT als effectieve methode voor de meest kwetsbare cliënten

Abstract

Robert Meijburg studeerde in april 2005 af als GGZ-verpleegkundig specialist. Twee jaar geleden werd hij nog tijdens zijn opleiding gevraagd ‘iets te doen met zorgmijdende cliënten’ in Delft. Samen met enkele collega’s startte hij een ACT-team dat enkele maanden geleden op het nationale ACT-congres werd verkozen tot ‘Beste ACT-team van Nederland.’ Geen slechte prestatie voor een GGZ-organisatie die tot voor kort weinig aanbod had voor cliënten die niet in zorg kwamen, maar wel verloederden of overlast veroorzaakten. Reden dus om met Meijburg in gesprek te gaan over het Delftse ACT-team, zeker omdat deze nuchtere, wetenschappelijk ingestelde professional zijn hart verpand lijkt te hebben aan ACT. Mijn gesprekspartner is overigens de eerste om zijn rol in de totstandkoming van het Delftse team te relativeren: hij had de tijd, een ander het concept en weer anderen waren ervaren en enthousiast. Ik moest dan ook enige moeite doen om hem alléén te spreken te krijgen, het liefst had hij het hele team meegenomen. Dat past bij de collegiale sfeer, die Meijburg beschrijft als ‘een warm bad.’
