Samenvatting

Patiënten met een bipolaire stoornis blijken vaak alcohol te misbruiken. Misbruik van andere drugs is minder goed onderzocht bij deze patiënten, maar zou wel eens veel belangrijker kunnen zijn dan tot nog toe gedacht werd. Met name bij druggebruikers komen vaak stemmingsschommelingen voor.
