Palliatieve zorg: óók bij copd

Samenvatting

Wordt de diagnose kanker gesteld, dan is iedereen het erover eens dat het een ernstige ziekte is. Blijkt de patiënt niet te genezen en komt deze in een (pre)terminale fase, dan is er aandacht voor palliatieve zorg. Deze vorm van zorg is de laatste jaren een begrip geworden in de oncologische zorg. Helaas is in de palliatieve zorg aandacht voor mensen met ernstig chronische aandoeningen onderbelicht. Terwijl het hier ook om ongeneeslijke aandoeningen gaat.
