Samenvatting

Psychosociale hulpverleners weten dat je iemand slechts tot gewenst gedrag kunt verleiden wanneer die persoon er zelf voor gemotiveerd is. En minstens zo belangrijk: die persoon moet vertrouwen hebben in de hulpverlener. Twee voorwaarden die in de gedwongen hulpverlening onder grote druk staan. Vooral wanneer de hulp in het verlengde van het strafrecht ligt. Hulp en straf staan leertheoretisch op gespannen voet met elkaar.
