Pain and muscular responses to a neural tissue provocation test in the upper limb [Manual Therapy 2001;6(3):154-62]
Abstract
Bij 20 proefpersonen zonder klachten werd onderzoek gedaan naar pijnsensaties en musculaire reacties bij een op de n. medianus gerichte neurale provocatietest. De test werd bij beide armen uitgevoerd, met de cervicale wervelkolom in een neutrale stand en in contralaterale lateroflexie als sensitiserende manoeuvre. De hoek van de elleboogextensie op het moment dat er pijn en spieractiviteit optraden in de mm. trapezius, biceps en triceps werd bepaald met behulp van een elektrogoniometer. De spieractiviteit werd geregistreerd via oppervlakte-elektromyografie.
