Samenvatting
Bij de behandeling van cva-patiënten ziet men een veelheid van fysiotherapeutische benaderingen. Zo zijn er de traditionele functionele hertraining (tfh), de neurodevelopmenttechniek (ndt), de proprioceptieve neuromusculaire facilitatietechnieken (pnf) en de benadering volgens Brunnstrom. Hoewel veel van deze behandelfilosofieën gestoeld zijn op neurofysiologische principes ten aanzien van ontwikkeling en klinisch herstel bij cva-patiënten, is er gebrek aan bewijzen voor hun effectiviteit.
