Samenvatting

Hoewel transcutane elektrische neuro-stimulatie (tens) de laatste twintig jaar een populaire applicatie bij behandeling van pijn is geworden, vormen de werkingsmechanismen en precieze relevantie van de prikkelparameters voor de hypalgetische effecten ervan nog steeds een onderwerp van discussie. Bijgevolg heerst er nog steeds verwarring rond de keuze van de optimale prikkelparameters.
