Samenvatting
Scheuring van de voorste kruisband kan leiden tot anterolaterale instabiliteit van de knie. Dit uit zich als een gevoel van herhaaldelijk ‘door de knie gaan’, waarbij de knie het laat afweten bij rotatoire spanning. Conservatieve behandeling van deze klachten blijkt te leiden tot toenemende rotatoire instabiliteit, meniscusscheuren en voortijdige gewrichtsslijtage.
