Fysiotherapie bij progressieve systemische sclerodermie

Samenvatting

De etiologie van de progressieve systemische sclerodermie (pss) is niet precies bekend; daardoor bestaat er geen causale behandeling. Men is terughoudend ten aanzien van een medicamenteuze therapie met veel bijwerkingen. Fysische maatregelen nemen een belangrijke plaats in. Koude is in iedere vorm gecontraïndiceerd; ook excessief gebruik van warmte kan klachten veroorzaken. Warmtetherapie moet individueel gedoseerd en als aangenaam ervaren worden.
