semenvatting

De comorbiditeit van alcoholafhankelijkheid of -misbruik en de narcistische persoonlijkheidsstoornis leidt vaak tot specifieke (tegenoverdrachts)problemen in de klinische behandeling van deze patiëntengroep. Aan de hand van casuïstiek worden de wisselvalligheden in de behandeling geïllustreerd en valkuilen in het psychotherapeutische proces beschreven.

Narcissism, alcoholism and countertransference

Co-morbidity of alcohol dependency or abuse and narcissistic personality disorder often causes specific (countertransference) problems during in-patient treatment. A case study is presented to illustrate the vicissitudes in the treatment and to highlight the pitfalls in the psychotherapeutic process.
