Samenvatting

Misschien is cliëntgerichte psychotherapie van hoofdstroom aan het evolueren tot een spécialité. Voor fijnproevers. Tot op zekere hoogte is deze ontwikkeling vergelijkbaar met die van de psychoanalytische psychotherapie, zowel in de omvang (ledental) als in differentiatie. De cliëntgerichte psychotherapie heeft zich gedifferentieerd in een klassieke non-directieve of persoonsgerichte, een experiëntiële, een interactionele en, laatstelijk, een stoornisgerichte exploratieve stroming. Als spécialité zal de cliëntgerichte psychotherapie – evenals de psychoanalytische psychotherapie – waarschijnlijk van beduidende invloed blijven.
