Doel van dit artikel is de toepassing van zelfcontrole–technieken bij de behandeling van alcohol–abusus te illustreren. We geven aan de hand van een gevalsbeschrijving aan hoe bij de behandeling van alcoholproblematiek gewerkt kan worden, via een compact en gefaseerd programma. Daarbij geven we suggesties voor de praktijk.
Summary
In this article we present a comprehensive model for the therapy of alcohol abuse, using the behaviour therapy techniques of selfcontrol as a main frame. We argue that this model can be valuable both as part of and as a parallel to an ongoing therapy aimed at targets other than alcohol misuse.
A case description shows how the therapy works. Some suggestions and practical advice are also given.
