Pre-eclampsie/hellp en wat daarna komt

Summary

Preeclampsia/hellp syndrome is a serious complication of pregnancy. Perinatal morbidity and mortality is high as well as the direct maternal morbidity and mortality. In recent years more evidence has accumulated that the maternal psychosocial problems have been underestimated. Next to this there appears to be a large amount of evidence that women with a history of this syndrome are more prone to cardiovascular diseases. Counseling on lifestyle and regular checks on risk factors for cardiovascular disease is indicated.
