Foetale hartritmestoornissen: recente ontwikkelingen

  • Perinatologie

Tijdschrift voor kindergeneeskunde

Summary

Fetal dysrhythmias occur in a small percentage of all pregnancies. A subset of these dysrhythmias consist of brady- and tachycardia, which may cause serious morbidity and even mortality. Diagnosis at the earliest possible stage, understanding of its cause, recognition of its possible consequences and possible intra-uterine treatment of these dysrhythmias is crucial for the optimal treatment strategy. This article will focus on all aspects of fetal dysrhythmias, including new diagnostic techniques, recent developments in treatment and insights in the natural history of complete congenital heart block.
