Op pagina 293 van dit lijvige boek lezen we dat het

‘diagnosticeren van de problematiek van kinderen met pervasieve ontwikkelingsstoornissen bestaat uit kijken en luisteren naar het kind en vooral ook uit het tot zich door laten dringen van het relaas van de ouders over hun dagelijkse wederwaardigheden met hun zoon of dochter’.
