Abstract
The outcome of standardised treatment for depressive and anxiety disorders can be negatively affected by personality features of patients. Individual psychological examination of basic personality features, otherwise specified than in dsm, can be fruitful if standard treatment was inadequate. With the use of personality tests, hypotheses can be formed, which can be tested and adjusted in the following treatment. The current use of personality tests is illustrated with two case histories.
