Samenvatting
Enkele trends in de huidige psychotherapie (korte therapie, integratie, aandacht voor therapeut/cliënt–relatie, aandacht voor cognitieve factoren, gebruik van psychofarmaca, afname van paradoxale strategieën, afname van aandacht voor relationele factoren, en toenemende aandacht voor geprotocolleerde behandelingen) worden vergeleken met de standpunten die in de beginjaren van de directieve therapie domineerden en de huidige opvattingen binnen de directieve therapie.

Abstract
Some current trends in psychotherapy (brief therapy, integration of therapeutic schools, emphasis on therapist/client relationship, emphasis on cognitive elements, less emphasis on relational elements and more emphasis on treatment protocols) are compared to the dominant approaches in the first years of the development of directive psychotherapy.
