Anale jeukanale jeuk pruritus ani

Samenvatting

Anale jeuk ofwel pruritus ani treedt op bij veelvoorkomende anale aandoeningen, zoals hemorroïden, eczeem of anale fissuren. Ondanks het feit dat huisartsen vaak andere gedachten hebben, mag uit de literatuur geconcludeerd worden dat voor patiënten die zich in de huisartspraktijk presenteren met de klacht pruritus ani in de meeste gevallen wel degelijk een oorzaak wordt gevonden. Vooral een nauwkeurige anamnese en zorgvuldig lichamelijk onderzoek zijn aangewezen. De belangrijkste oorzaken en de idiopathische vorm van anale jeuk worden in deze bijdrage besproken en indien mogelijk worden er adviezen voor het verdere beleid gegeven.
