Een sterk verhoogd risico op gastro-intestinale problemen door gelijktijdig gebruik van NSAID’s en SSRI’s?

Abstract

Het is bekend dat het gebruik van NSAID’s is geassocieerd met een verhoogd risico op gastro-intestinale problemen. Hetzelfde geldt voor het gebruik van SSRI’s, waarbij het risico van een maagbloeding ongeveer driemaal is verhoogd. Bij gelijktijdig gebruik van NSAID’s en SSRI’s wordt gesuggereerd dat de kans op gastro-intestinale problemen 12 tot 15 maal vergroot zou zijn.
