Samenvatting
Meropenem behoort tot de β-lactam antibiotica en heeft een breed spectrum. Gebruik van meropenem wordt ontraden bij patiënten met een penicilline-overgevoeligheid omdat in een onderzoek is aangetoond dat bij 47% van de penicilline-overgevoelige patiënten een kruisreactiviteit voor imipenem aanwezig is . In andere onderzoeken kon dit echter niet worden bevestigd.
