Lenalidomide bij het myelodysplastisch syndroom met deletie van 5q31

Samenvatting

De myelodysplastische syndromen (MDS) vormen een heterogene groep van hematopoëtische bloedziekten gekenmerkt door abnormale proliferatie en differentiatie van hematopoëtische voorlopercellen, die zich meestal openbaren als refractaire anemie of cytopenie. Patiënten met MDS samengaand met geïsoleerde del(5q) hebben meestal alleen anemie; bij deze patiënten ontbreekt een deel van chromosoom 5. Zij zijn afhankelijk van bloedtransfusies.
