Samenvatting

Anticoagulantia worden tijdens de zwangerschap bij verschillende indicaties voorgeschreven. Omdat warfarine nadelige bijwerkingen kan hebben op de foetus,wordt doorgaans ongefractioneerde heparine (UH) of laagmoleculairgewichtheparine (LMWH) voorgeschreven. Chronisch heparinegebruik kan echter leiden tot osteoporose. Uit case studies en proefdieronderzoek wordt gesuggereerd dat LMWH de botdichtheid substantieel minder zou verlagen dan UH.
