Preventie van hart- en vaatziekten bij vrouwen met acetylsalicylzuur

Samenvatting

Sinds de jaren ‘80 is voor de acute behandeling en secundaire preventie van hart- en vaatziekten (HVZ) acetylsalicylzuur een kosteneffectieve en relatief veilige therapie. Voor de primaire preventie van HVZ blijft acetylsalicylzuur controversieel: 4 van de 5 grote gerandomiseerde onderzoeken lieten een reductie van myocardinfarcten zien, echter geen vermindering van cardiovasculaire sterfte of CVA.
