Samenvatting

Osteoporose is een aanzienlijk probleem bij ouderen. Het leidt vaak tot botfracturen die gepaard gaan met een aanzienlijke morbiditeit. In het algemeen is er consensus over de noodzaak tot farmacotherapeutische behandeling van deze aandoening, maar er is nog onvoldoende informatie over de kosteneffectiviteit van de combinatie van diagnostiek en behandeling van oudere vrouwen.
