Verlagen statines het libido?

Samenvatting

Het Nederlands Bijwerkingen Centrum Lareb rapporteert een achttal meldingen van het verlies van het libido in relatie tot het gebruik van statines. Het betrof zeven mannen en één vrouw. Het verminderde libido trad op binnen enkele dagen na aanvang van de statinetherapie. Slechts van drie gevallen is het verdere beloop bekend: in twee gevallen herstelde het het libido na het staken van de therapie en in één geval trad herstel op na overschakeling op een ander statine.
