Samenvatting
De behandeling van acute astma-exacerbaties bestaat uit het inhaleren van (β2-agonisten (B2), het toedienen van systemische glucocorticosteroiden en, op indicatie, het geven van zuurstof. Er zijn aanwijzingen dat ook inhalatieanticholinergica (AC) en inhalatiecorticosteroïden (ICS) toegevoegde waarde kunnen hebben om de luchtwegvernauwing snel te doen afnemen. Hiermee kan een klinische behandeling worden voorkomen.
