Samenvatting

In de serie CLINICAL PRACTICE verscheen een overzichtsartikel over ‘restless legs’. Het verschijnsel komt veel voor (de geschatte prevalentie is tussen 2,5-15%). In het artikel worden de diagnostische criteria, de verschillende verschijningsvormen (bij jonge mensen en dan vaak dominant erfelijk; bij ouderen en dan vaker verworven) en de differentiële diagnostiek zoals kuitkramp, vluchtige drukneuropathie en paresthesie / neuropathie besproken.
