Samenvatting

Er is weinig bekend over de effectiviteit van inhalatiecorticosteroïden bij patiënten met COPD op de lange termijn. De vraag is dan ook of inhalatiecorticosteroïden moeten worden gebruikt bij de langetermijnbehandeling van COPD, iets dat al wel wijdverbreid gebeurt.

Fluticason: in Nederland Flixotide®.

Triamcinolon: in Nederland als zodanig en als Ledercort®.

Triamcinolon wordt per injectie toegediend, de overige middelen door middel van inhalatie.
