Samenvatting

Het gebruik van cocaïne blijft toenemen. Dit is inmiddels ook op Nederlandse en Vlaamse EHBO-afdelingen te merken. Vooral als jonge patiënten zich presenteren met cardiale ischemie of zelfs myocardinfarct, met ritmestoornissen, een myocarditis beeld of een gedilateerde cardiomyopathie dient de arts rekening te houden met gebruik van cocaïne.
