Plaveiselcelcarcinoom bij PUVA en ciclosporine

Samenvatting

Patiënten die met immunosuppressiva, onder meer ciclosporine, zijn behandeld vertonen een verhoogd risico op huidkanker. Zo'n behandeling wordt veelal aangewend bij patiënten met een orgaantransplantatie, maar ook bij de behandeling van psoriasis. In dat geval worden ze vaak concomitant gebruikt samen met een potentieel carcinogene behandeling zoals PUVA – een langdurige blootstelling aan psoralenen en ultraviolet-A-licht.
