Samenvatting

Hemorragie post-partum (HPP) is een in potentie levensbedreigende situatie die vrijwel altijd gerelateerd is aan uterus-atonie. De standaardbehandeling bestaat uit het geven van uterotonica zoals oxytocine of mythylergometrine naast algemeen ondersteunende maatregelen zoals intraveneuze vochttoediening, ledigen van de blaas en eventueel bloedtransfusies.
