Hoewel de kortetermijneffectiviteit van gedragstherapie, medicatie (methylfenidaat, ADHDmethylfenidaat) of een combinatie van deze behandelingen bij kinderen met ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder) aangetoond is, is nog steeds onduidelijk of de effecten ook op lange termijn beklijven.
