Samenvatting

In epidemiologische onderzoeken zoals NHANES I-III stijgt het aantal mensen bij wie hypertensie is ontdekt (van 51 naar 73%) en bij wie behandeling is ingesteld (van 31 naar 55%). Het aantal patiënten bij wie streefwaarden worden bereikt, blijft te laag (van 10 naar 29%).
