Samenvatting

Ook in de afgelopen periode is er weer veel gepubliceerd over cholesterol. We proberen de belangrijkste items die daarbij aan de orde kwamen, nader te belichten, zoals: is het effect afhankelijk van de dosis, is het effect volledig verklaarbaar uit LDL-cholesterolverlaging, is er sprake van een klasse-effect voor alle statinen, en wat is de relatieve risicoreductie van acetylsalicylzuur.
