Samenvatting

Het Framingham bevolkingsonderzoek levert veel interessante gegevens op, zoals weer blijkt uit een artikel in Circulation dat begin 1996 verscheen. Beschreven werden de trends met betrekking tot behandelde en onbehandelde hypertensie enerzijds en cardiovasculaire aandoeningen en mortaliteit anderzijds, bij 50- tot 59-jarige mannen en vrouwen die 20 jaar werden gevolgd.
