Abstract
An investigation is made of the thermal conductivity of the ternary semiconductor compounds CuSbTe2 and CuBiTe2 in the solid and liquid states in a wide range of temperatures. Measurements of thermal conductivity were carried out using the concentric cylinder method which is based on the flow of heat through a cylindrical wall. The contribution of electronic, phonon, and complementary mechanisms to the heat transfer is evaluated. The thermoelectricQ-factorZ is calculated for both compounds in the solid and liquid states.
