Tumour inhibitory studies on pyrimidines

Part I. 2-amino-4-hydroxy-5-(β-hydroxyethyl)-6-(alkyl/aryl) pyrimidines

Abstract

Thirteen substituted pyrimidines have been screened for their tumour inhibitory activity against three transplantable tumours. The screening methods utilised in the study have been given. Four of the compounds have been found to possess significant tumour inhibitory activity.
