Summary
1. An account of the bottom fauna of the Tungabhadra reservoir is given with reference to their depthwise distribution and seasonal abundance.
2. From the studies, it was found thatPuntius kolus feeds extensively on the bottom fauna and there appears to be no competition for food among the fishes.
