The production of vitamin B12-like substances by marine micro-organisms

II. Studies on nutrition

  • Published:
Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences

Summary

The effects of different substrates and the presence and absence of various mineral salts were studied with respect to the growth of and the synthesis of vitamin B12-like factors of ten different marine isolates. A detailed study was also made of the effect of various carbon and nitrogen sources on the growth and production of vitamin B12-like factors by one selected isolate.
