The production of vitamin B12-like substances by marine micro-organisms

I. General survey

  • Published:
Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences

Summary

One hundred and thirty-one cultures were isolated from 35 sea-water samples and assayed for vitamin B12-like activity usingLactobacillus leichmannii 313 (7830). The active isolates were identified up to the species wherever possible adopting standard methods.
