Summary
The paper deals with the chromosome numbers of 31 species of medicinal plants collected from South India, Bombay and Uttar Pradesh. The chromosome numbers of 15 species are reported for the first time, 6 of them being now generic counts. In the case of five plants, our findings differ from previous observations.
