Abstract

To calculate the momentum of a charged particle a least square fit method of analysis of the particle trajectory in any type of cosmic ray spectrometer has been discussed. An expression for the maximum detectable momentum (m.d.m.) of the spectrometer has been derived and compared with the expressions obtained by other workers.
