Physiology of host-parasite relationship in theFusarium wilt of cotton

I. Pectin metabolism

  • Published:
Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences

Summary

Pectin distribution in susceptible and resistant varieties of cotton and its derangement in fusariose wilt indicated the close correlation between root pectin levels and susceptibility. The role of the pectic enzyme systems of the pathogenF. vasinfectum in the derangement in the host pectin metabolism is discussed.
