Abstract
The relative merits of three methods (a) the median angle method, (b) the Castagnoli method, (c) the Yajima-Hasegawa method, for the estimation of the energy of the primary are examined. The correction factors for the breakdown of the conditions of velocity independent spectrum and symmetry of jets are obtained.
